Bec & Paddy – Real Gippsland Wedding
Bec and Paddy
A proposal in a national park, a local hall reception and many DIY elements meant Bec and Paddy's wedding days not only beautiful but thoughtful and intimate. A ceremony at Bec's parents home surrounded by family and friends, with a reception at the local hall to follow.
Bec, from The Simple Gesture crafted up all of the bespoke elements that made up the reception. So much love was put into the details of their day captured perfectly by Chrisp Pictures
Why did you pick the location for your ceremony and reception?
It was at my parents house – surrounded by beautiful gardens and property. We said our vowels under the big gum tree near the creek. It has a lovely relaxed feel which is what we wanted. We had our reception at the Jeeralang North Hall which also fitted the theme of the wedding perfectly.
The dress, did you know at first site or did you try on a few?
I saw it in the window at Bloomfields before a few weeks before we got engaged. I knew it was the dress I wanted to get married in. I tried it on after Paddy proposed and it was perfect. First and only dress I tried on.
What was the most special part of the day for you?
It’s hard to pick anything as a stand out – the whole day was really special and perfect. We were both very relaxed and surrounded by our family and friends.
Did you have a stand out vendor?
Christina the photographer – so easy going and captured our beautiful day perfectly.
