Light and Type Vendor Feature
Who are you?
Nicole Peterson, Light and Type. Photography and Design.
When did you launch?
2013 – I believe!
How did you get into your line of work?
I have been photographing since I was a child and throughout school, I then went onto Graphic Design at Tractor Design School and continued my photography throughout.
What do you offer to the Wedding/Events industry?
Relaxed, fun, candid and unobtrusive wedding photography and custom stationery design.
Can you share your main do's and don't's for weddings and events?
DO – listen to what YOU want and DON'T be scared to do something unique and different!
Do you have a morning ritual?
Loads of morning cuddles with my hubby, I usually scroll around on Instagram and Facebook and get super distracted!
Any funny stories while working within the events industry?
Ohh there are so many... One I can think of.. It was a stinking hot January wedding day (like 35 degrees) and this little boy stood right front of me drinking his bottle in the middle of the ceremony.
What are some of the ways you ensure exceptional service to your couples?
We love helping couples plan, especially when they don't have a planner, I'll happily help in anyway to help make the day run smoother. My other fave thing to do is print some of our couple's wedding prints to deliver in their box with a USB. Just gives them a taste of the amazing quality we produce!
Is there any other Bride's Day Out vendors you admire and why?
Hunter and Gather – YUM!! I'm also really looking forward to seeing one of our brides in a Karen Willis or Oydlyne gown from Amante gown... OH and Kanvas Village Tipi's – Can't wait to work with them!!!
